the world is such a crazy place

just in case anyone didn't think it was real. these people are something else. five year old kids were doing cartwheels and holding up these signs with their parents outside of all of the Sunflower Music Festival concerts. I had no idea that this group was based in Topeka, Kansas. I never saw them when they were here on campus, and I'm glad. I was so enraged and wanted to vomit all at the same time. I had to walk past them to get to where I was performing, and where I watched other people in my profession create music and bring people together. what were they trying to prove? here's an event that brings in talent from all over the world and creates a free, artistic, environment for the community, and one that seems to be a pretty big deal throughout the city. but instead of appreciating the opportunity, they deplete the purpose. I pity their ignorance.

It amazes me that while we live in a world where there are so many beautiful things and reasons to love, people can be filled with so much hate.

It's honestly moments like these that keep me smiling, all the time.
